An Azure architecture review examines how your environment is organized, secured, and run. You get a written, prioritized list of what to change and in what order, specific enough that your team can act on it without me.
What gets reviewed
The review covers eight areas:
- How subscriptions and resources are organized
- Networking and segmentation
- Identity and access
- Security posture, including secrets handling
- Reliability: redundancy, backups, and recovery
- Cost: service tiers, idle resources, and commitments
- The data platform
- Monitoring: what's being monitored, what isn't, and whether alerts reach the right people
The networking, identity, security, cost, and resiliency work applies whatever your application is written in.
What you get
A written assessment with findings and prioritized recommendations, typically delivered within two to four weeks. It's a fixed-scope, fixed-fee engagement with a clear endpoint. If the findings are bigger than your team can absorb, ongoing architecture work is available, but it's optional.
When it's worth doing
- The environment grew one resource at a time and nobody can draw it on a whiteboard.
- The Azure bill keeps climbing and nobody can explain why.
- You're about to commit to a migration or a large spend and want an experienced reviewer first.
